The Hillcrest Nook

We had previously worked on the kitchen of this beautiful home in New Jersey, and the owners had asked us to work on their breakfast area which was also attached to the kitchen. Similar to their concern with the existing kitchen, they wanted the breakfast area to allow for more seating, while also not interrupting the circulation through the kitchen.

The nook that was designated for the breakfast area had exquisite views to the backyard. We decided to design a built-in bench to maximize seating on the wall side, while also bringing more focus to the exterior views. Since the homeowners were also concerned about the nook not looking too cluttered, we incorporated colors and materials that would give the space a more spacious and organized look. We are extremely happy with how this space turned out and loved seeing our client’s reaction from it!
