This beautiful mid-century home located in California was recently purchased by its homeowners, with the intent of remodeling the kitchen area. The existing kitchen was too closed off and made the kitchen seem smaller than what it actually is. This home has a stunning backyard so the home owners wanted to find a way to open it up more, and highlight the backyard views from the kitchen. They wanted their future kitchen to have a mid-century modern-inspired design look to it.

The   A R K K I F Y   Solution

For this kitchen, the homeowners had already picked out what cabinet style they wanted for their future kitchen. We showed them different layouts in 3D of how the kitchen would like with their desired cabinets, and also opened up the kitchen to make it look more spacious. They initially wanted an all-white kitchen with black hardware, wooden countertops and oak wood flooring. After some consulting, we suggested that the same cabinets they wanted would also look very beautiful in green for their kitchen. We showed them how both options would look in their kitchen and to their surprise, they decided on the green option. It’s fascinating how much seeing a future remodel in 3D beforehand can completely impact your future design decisions.
